As federal immigration actions increase in the Bay Area, we want to acknowledge the intensity, anxiety, and fear that many people are experiencing right now. At EBAC, we stand with families and community partners in affirming that all members of our community deserve to feel safe and supported.

East Bay Agency for Children’s six Family Resource Centers (FRCs) are accessible wellness hubs, offering comprehensive safety-net services designed to keep families safe, healthy, and stable. Our FRCs connect families to vital public benefits and safety-net services including:

Case Management

• Connect families to services (housing, immigration, childcare, employment, mental health services, family wellness screenings including domestic violence, and other basic needs services)

 

Food Resources

• Assist families in applying for CalFresh
• Offer food distribution including emergency food supplies

 

Application Assistance

• Assist families in applying for Medi-Cal, CalFresh, school enrollment, free and reduced school lunch, and other public benefits to which they are entitled

 

Parent Workshops

• School readiness, nutrition, wellness, parenting and other areas of need and interest

 

Child School Support

• Connecting with teachers, support with IEP process

 

EBAC staff has the capacity to serve families in nine languages and we provide other translation and interpretation services if needed.

 

Our Family Resource Centers are located in accessible locations throughout Alameda County.
