Executive Director "Steve Eckert, LCSW joined EBAC as our new Executive Director beginning September 1, 2004. Steve is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), having graduated from San Francisco State University with a Master's degree in Social Work.

Before coming to EBAC Steve worked as the Executive Director of Mental Health Services at the YMCA of San Francisco for 6 years. He provided oversight of three “youth service bureaus” in San Mateo County with contracts to provide mental health services to 60 schools, 8 police departments and the county mental health, probation and human services agencies. Prior to his work with the YMCA, he was Director of North Peninsula Family Alternatives and Clinical Director for a San Quentin Prison offenders program. As a Clinical Social Worker he specializes in working with families and children.

He brings experience in leadership of non-profit associations, program development, fundraising, staff development, clinical training and supervision. This experience assists his ability to promote EBAC's mission and vision and build upon the organization's reputation as a provider of model programs.
