Ms. Brenda Lynch is the Development Director for the East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC). Brenda is a long-time Oakland resident who brings over 25 years of experience in fundraising, program development, management and community building. She is committed to improving the academic and social outcomes for children. She oversees all EBAC development activities to ensure the health and educational well-being of the children and families served by EBAC programs.
Brenda is very familiar with education and other issues related to children and youth. She worked at the Marcus A. Foster Educational Institute for 11 years and served in many capacities including Acting Executive Director. While she was at Marcus Foster, Brenda led or participated in every facet of their fundraising efforts. Most recently she was the Education and Community Programs Manager at the Clorox Foundation and directed the K-12 and Youth Development grant-making activities. Currently, Brenda serves on the board of HEROES an organization that places volunteers in Oakland public schools. She also supports and volunteers at the Chabot Space & Science Center, the Oakland Museum of California and Bishop O'Dowd High School.
She holds a bachelors degree in sociology from Chapman University, masters degree in urban planning from Michigan State University and has completed doctorate course work at the University of San Francisco in organizational leadership.
