Sequoia Day Treatment Program began operation with the 2007-2008 school year and is sited at Sequoia Elementary School in the Dimond neighborhood.

• The program serves up to ten 4th and 5th grade students.
• The program benefits from being on a school site which allows for a wide range of mainstreaming into the general education population.
• Children receive weekly individual and daily group therapy.
• The children participate each week in the HEROES physical education program. HEROES combines exercise with building self-esteem and teaching leadership and conflict management skills.
• The children enjoy a newly refurbished playground, complete with new gardens.
• A staff psychiatrist is available to assess, evaluate and support medication options.
• The program focuses on family involvement and weekly family therapy sessions are offered
  The children visit the school computer lab for ongoing projects.
• Sequoia Elementary is a strong and diverse school community which encourages families to participate in community events such as the Holiday Food Drive and Family Diversity Night.
