Elementary through High School Day Treatment
East Bay Agency for Children's intensive and rehabilitative all-day therapy and education programs consistently receive high satisfaction ratings from school principals, teachers, parents and students. These day treatment services, operated at five different locations, are for children struggling with emotional and behavioral problems that prevent them from participating in mainstream public school classrooms, but who do not require 24-hour residential care.
EBAC staff work side by side with special education teachers in small classes, usually with a 1:2 staff to student ratio, to provide individual, group and family therapy, medication evaluation and monitoring, instruction and recreational activities, parental support and crisis management.

"EBAC provides a safety net for the students who are most at risk of failure, catching kids who typically fall through the cracks. EBAC is very good at addressing whatever is distressing them and looking at how those stressors affect their ability to succeed in school." Barbara McClung
Program Manager, Integrated Student Support Services
