4/8/2008 Volunteer Open House and Information Meeting
Volunteer Open House and Information Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at 2540 Charleston Street in Oakland.

On Tuesday, April 8th come meet our staff, check out our support group areas and review training materials. During the Open House we will show the video documentary ""How I Coped When Mommy Died"" at 5:30 p.m., and at 6:30 p.m. we will discuss the Circle of Care program. If you have an application, bring it with you or fill out your application that evening.

Circle of Care relies on the dedication of its volunteers to provide caring and compassionate support to the children and families in our community. Join us and find out why EBAC is such a great organization to volunteer with.

Please note: Our next two-day Volunteer Training will be held on April 26th & 29th, 2008. Our Circle of Care Volunteer Coordinator, Jess Feury, will present information on the program and will be available to answer questions.

From Highway 580 – coming from the south (Hayward): Exit at Fruitvale/Coolidge Avenue. Go straight, paralleling the freeway (up and down some hills). At a stop sign, turn right onto Lincoln (this is before you get to Fruitvale). Go up hill, cross over MacArthur Blvd and continue up hill. Go thru two stop signs. After the second stop sign, turn right onto Alida. (If you pass the Mormon Temple, you have gone too far). Go down a hill and bear left at Laguna – going up a hill. Continue up hill and bear left again at Charleston Street at the top of the hill. Our offices are located at the end of Charleston Street.

From Highway 580 – coming from the north (Berkeley): Exit at Fruitvale and turn left at the light at the bottom of the exit ramp. Turn right onto MacArthur Blvd. and a quick left on Lincoln Avenue. Go thru two stop signs. After the second stop sign, turn right onto Alida. (If you pass the Mormon Temple, you have gone too far). Go down a hill and bear left at Laguna – going up a hill. Continue up hill and bear left again at Charleston Street at the top of the hill. Our offices are located at the end of Charleston Street.
