Mental Health Clinician – Bilingual English/SpanishEast Bay Agency for Children (EBAC) has been selected as one of the top 75 places to work in the Bay Area. With a staff of 150 and 200 volunteers, we serve 21, 000 children, youth and families via primarily school based programs throughout Alameda County. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following dynamic position: A. FUNCTION As member of the clinical team the Mental Health Clinician provides skilled clinical services to children and their families; perform assessments, articulate diagnostic formulations and make recommendations; provide case work services and make referrals; act as consultant to teachers, school support staff, school administrators, and community partners; preparation and presentation of safety and violence material in a classroom setting; and related work as required. Responsibilities include individual and group counseling in English and Spanish, case management, consultation and related duties. Interested candidates must have experience providing psychotherapeutic and casework services to youth and families in a multi-cultural environment. Positions are available in Oakland, Hayward and Fremont. Mental Health Clinicians are placed at school sites. Licensure supervision provided. Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish in written and verbal communications is required. B. QUALIFICATIONS • Master’s degree in a mental health discipline and working toward licensure required. C. RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide individual, group and family counseling in English and Spanish. D. WORKING CONDITIONS and JOB SETTING • Headquarters is in a multi-story building with stair that need to be climbed to access other floors.
