Volunteer with UsIf you are drawn to help local children and families you will find volunteering at EBAC immensely rewarding. You will be working alongside highly skilled and dedicated professionals who are helping make our communities stronger and safer places for all of us. Opportunities exist for all levels of volunteering from a one-time shift helping with an after-school event to a 14 month commitment to lead a support group. Click here for current volunteer opportunities. (Under Development) Two EBAC programs have comprehensive volunteer programs: Circle of Care (Illness and Grief Support Services), in which you may become a facilitator for a grief or illness support group, working with children, teens or their families when a family member has died or is living with a potentially fatal illness. CAP (Child Assault Prevention), in which you may assist with workshops that educate Alameda County children, youth and parents/care givers to recognize and respond to child abuse and all forms of assault including bullying behavior, sexual assault, child abduction and other forms of violence. In addition to these two programs, you may volunteer with the EBAC Auxiliary, host a fundraiser, or assist the EBAC fundraising team with special events, donor acknowledgements and general office assistance. For information regarding these opportunities, please contact EBAC's Development Director, Julie West at (510) 268-3770 ext. 108, or jwest@EBAC.org |
